Melinda’s Garden Moments, one-minute gardening tips produced for local newscasts, will air on 49 network television stations throughout the country this year.
Milwaukee, WI, April 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Melinda’s Garden Moments, one-minute gardening tips produced for local newscasts, will air on 49 network television stations throughout the country this year. The segments are hosted by nationally known gardening expert, TV host and author Melinda Myers.
Designed to help gardeners create and maintain a healthy, beautiful garden with ease, a series of 34 segments will air weekly throughout the growing season. Considering the current economic conditions, Myers decided to cover some ways people can brighten and improve their gardens and landscapes without spending a lot of money, including topics such as “Affordable Landscape Makeovers” and “Creative Container Gardens.” She also covers topics like “Windowsill Herb Gardens” that encourage gardeners to grow their own produce. All of the segments take a very environmentally friendly approach to gardening.
“The goal of these segments is to make it easy for gardeners whether they are beginners or experienced,” explains Myers. “I wanted to share some new ideas and encourage people to get back in the garden this year. It beautifies our communities and it’s a great stress reliever, too - something that we all seem to need these days.”
Garden enthusiasts can also watch streaming video of the segments online, on demand on Myers’ web site, melindamyers.com. A new gardening tip segment will be added each week throughout the growing season. Melinda Myers, best known for her practical, gardener-friendly approach to gardening, has more than 25 years of horticultural experience in both hands-on and instructional settings. She has a master’s degree in horticulture, is a certified arborist, and was a horticulture instructor with tenure. Myers shares her expertise through a variety of media outlets. She is the author of numerous gardening books, including Can’t Miss Small Space Gardening and the Birds & Blooms’ Ultimate Gardening Guide.
