Cunningham Publications Announces the Launch of its Multi-Ethnic Publication for Young Savvy Women of Color, "Mahogany"
Mutli-Ethnic Publication for Young Savvy Women of Color. Empowering, Uplifting, and Unbelievable.
New York, NY, July 27, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Mahogany is a subsidiary publication of Cunningham Publications LLC and was developed in 2005 to address the deficient accurate representation of young women of color who are intellectual, fashion savvy, beautiful, culture oriented and who are real women. Since there are relatively few national consumer publications for African American, Asian American and Hispanic American women, Mahogany was created out of necessity rather than luxury.
Mahogany is the first mulit-ethnic magazine to incorporate entertainment, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and cultural issues all into one publication specifically for every woman of color.
It’s time to take a stand, show that all women of various ethnicities are beautiful, whether red, yellow, brown, full figured and loving it, women of color are celebrated through Mahogany; encompassing the philosophical approach of being true to yourself and embracing all aspects of life, loving the skin your in-the true deep Mahogany.
About Cunningham Publications
Crystal I. Cunningham is the brainchild of Mahogany, who made heads turn with her iridescent personality, incredible intelligence, enthusiastic flare for journalism and an innate sensibility to give readers what they want. The magazine was developed after the downfall of national consumer magazines belligerence and lack of content for young women of color such as herself. After graduating from SUNY at Buffalo, and at the tender age of 23, she realized the need for journalism jobs and the deficiency of magazines that were not available to young women of color such as herself, and then Mahogany was born.
“We are above and beyond the medium of being ignored, it’s time that there is a publication that relates to young women of color like me," says Cunningham.
Cunningham was a writer for Figure, Black Beat, Right On, Rap-Up and other national glossy publications.
