Team Zoum Makes a Mark in Florida State Optimist Championships

Boca Raton, FL, April 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Florida State Optimist Championships was hosted by Coral Reef Yacht Club (“CRYC”) this weekend in Miami, Biscayne Bay and was dominated by Zoum racers. Zoum’s increasing Market share was clearly evident. Nearly 8% of the sailors sailed the Zoum. 75% of these sailors earned medals. This highly specified Optimist continues to differentiate itself by earning disproportionate achievements on the race course. Notably, the Zoum won the Gold medal in the Gold Fleet sailed by proud owner Axel Sly and the Silver Medal in the Silver Fleet sailed by Prescott Coleman. Some commented that Zoum sailors seem to have has a headstart they were so far ahead of the rest. In all, several medals were won in the Red, Blue & White classes in Gold and Silver Fleets. The Zoum which is presently offered at a considerable discount to its competitors is not available for charter and all Zoum boats under sail are privately owned.
