Cross Receives Coveted 4-Star Rating for Sound Fiscal Management from Non-Profit Watchdog Charity Navigator
Cross International, a South-Florida-based charity providing relief and development aid to the poor overseas, recently received a 4-star rating from industry watchdog Charity Navigator for its ability to effectively manage and grow its finances.
Pompano Beach, FL, April 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- This rating — which reflects a charity’s financial health by examining the efficiency of its day-to-day functions and its sustainability over time — is the highest awarded by the Charity Navigator. Only about a quarter of charities receive a 4-star rating.

Once a charity is chosen for review, a team of professional analysts pours over dozens of financial documents evaluating its organizational efficiency, capacity, accountability and leadership. Each charity is then awarded an overall rating, ranging from zero to four stars.
Dubbed as America's largest independent charity evaluator, the Charity Navigator has assessed the financial health of more than 5,400 of America's largest charities. Its method of applying data-driven analysis to the charitable sector has been profiled and celebrated by respected publications such as Forbes, Business Week, and Kiplinger’s Financial Magazine.
