Eden Spine Granted US Patent on the WellDisc™ Lumbar Disc Prosthesis
Lake Mary, FL, April 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Eden Spine (www.EdenSpine.com), a technology driven spinal organization, announced today that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted a Patent for its new generation Total Disc Prosthesis, the WellDisc™.
“The WellDisc™ is a step forward in the treatment of low back pain,” says Dr. Jean-Philippe Lemaire, “as it controls segmental motion and restores the guiding function of the facets while decreasing their loading. The result, based on my 20 years of experience and research in the arena, is a prosthesis that is unconstrained in the neutral zone, constrained outside of the neutral zone, and respects the posterior elements of the segment; specifically the facet joints.”
