Surface Consulting Completes Smallwood Project

O’Guin collaborated with BCB Homes to provide an exquisite exterior with references to the Spanish Revival style popular in Santa Barbara, California. The finished product combines beautiful wood, stone and tile with light stucco.
"The technique," says O'Guin, "was a collaboration between homeowners, the Smallwood’s and architect, Jeff Harrell. They wanted a very light cream that would be true to the architectural style, but not read too starkly 'white' in our harsh sunlight here in South Florida. They also had very specific input for the troweling patterns used. I am very pleased with how natural the walls look in that setting, quietly complementing the architectural features."
Smallwood says, “I had used Surface Consulting and this particular plaster technique for many of our clients. Its unique appearance combined with Christopher’s creativity and insight on the application of the product made it the perfect choice. I am very pleased with the results.”
