ASEAN Affairs Adds New Director Americas – Martin Seto
ASEAN Affairs recently added Mr. Martin Seto, a seasoned Advertising and Publishing Executive to handle Ad Sales and Marketing in the Americas.
Bangkok, Thailand, April 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Asean Affairs, the Voice of Southeast Asia based in Bangkok and distributed worldwide (34 Countries, 4 Continents) announced the hiring of Martin Seto as Director to handle Ad Sales and Marketing in the Americas.
Martin based in Toronto, Canada has over 25 years experience in the advertising and publishing industries in the US and Canadian markets with major advertisers in a wide variety of industries. Earlier in his career in the 1990’s, when he was on the agency side as the VP of Client Services, at Access Advertising Management, he provided Chinese advertising programs for major Canadian advertisers that included Ford, Motorola, Minto Developments Inc. and Macleans magazine during the immigration boom to Canada from Hong Kong prior to the 1997 turnover to China. He was on the team for the launch of the Chinese edition of Macleans, Canada's top weekly news magazine managing national ad sales. While at Macleans he produced an Executive Residential Real Estate Supplement for the Toronto market for 2 years.
His next career move was working with a US technology magazine, Linux Journal, the #1 publication in its niche, where he managed ad sales for the East Coast US and Canadian territories during the dot-com boom in the late 1990’s and early 2000's. Martin helped the magazine grow and attract advertisers such as IBM, CA, Nokia and Red Hat. Martin was the leader in developing creative online ad sales programs that included, email newsletters, banners ads, pay per click programs, sponsorships and digital editions. For the past four years he has been working with Texterity Inc working with over 30 Canadian magazines in helping them with their online business model using digital editions.
He is a graduate of the prestigious University of Toronto with a Bachelors of Commerce (1983) and a Canadian Advertising Agency Practitioners Programs (CAAP) diploma from the Institute of Canadian Advertisers (1986). He was an instructor of Advertising issues at Centennial College in 1999.
