Solar Innovations, Inc., a custom manufacturer of greenhouses; conservatories; sunrooms; folding, tilting, and sliding glass doors, walls, windows, and screens; announces the introduction of the standard I-Beam greenhouse line.
Myerstown, PA, May 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Solar Innovations, Inc., a custom manufacturer of residential and commercial greenhouses; conservatories; sunrooms; folding, tilting, and sliding glass doors, walls, windows, and screens; announces the introduction of the standard I-Beam greenhouse line to complement the existing rectangular tube greenhouse system.
This new standard I-Beam greenhouse line is ideal for customers that desire a cost effective greenhouse solution for any size, space, and shape, including all geometric shapes currently offered in Solar Innovations’® tube system. I-Beam greenhouses have been designed to suit nearly any need, from the small hobby greenhouse with minimal accessories to a complex institutional application with an environmental control system, its components including misting and drip systems, humidifiers, fans, lighting, and shade systems.
The new design uses standards including a two inch by two inch or two inch by two and thirteen sixteenths and one half inch systems, I-Beam bay widths of 30 ½ inches and 38 inches in the center, and three or four bay portal frames (depending on the span and load requirements) in an attempt to value engineer the structure, provide an exceptionally high quality product, and meet our customers’ needs. By utilizing either the structural portal system or truss system, created by Solar Innovations’® standard bar system, spans in excess of 50 feet will be achieved, depending on load engineering requirements. The large spans and minimal I-Beam purlins will ensure ample delivery of natural lighting and maximized plant growth.
Additional features of the I-Beam system include a two tier weep system, which allows for superior system drainage, a thermally enhanced advantage, and the ability to integrate any of Solar Innovations, Inc.’s accessories and operable fenestration options. This system can be utilized not only for new greenhouses, but also for skylights and additional restoration and historic applications to create an authentic, traditional appeal. The designed I-Beam system can also be utilized to “skin” an existing steel or aluminum substructure and provide superior performance, while minimizing cost by utilizing the existing substructure.
The I-Beam line will initially be offered in Sandstone, White, Bronze, and Hartford Green, but additional colors and custom matches are available upon special request. Glazing options within the I-Beam system will include glass options from 1/8” to 1 ¼”, and polycarbonate and acrylic options ranging in size from 8mm to 25mm. As with all of Solar Innovations’® products, the I-Beam greenhouse system will be tested to the AAMA E300 requirements air, water, and structural standards.
Because of the standard model options provided to customers, I-Beam greenhouses are intended to ship more quickly than many of the industry standards, better serving greenhouse enthusiasts’ needs and bringing dreams to life more quickly and more affordably than could even be imagined. Solar Innovations, Inc. will work with customers to ensure the “easy installation” I-Beam system is flawlessly erected on the designated property.
As always, Solar Innovations® is happy to provide design, engineering, manufacturing, and installation assistance to its customers. By working with one firm, customers are able to achieve an integrated system, complete with operables, accessories, and control systems, and a cohesive design concept with a single team.
