OneSpring® and Grady Health System Redesign Web Site
From Concept to Reality in Under 3 Months Resulted in Significant Savings
Atlanta, GA, April 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- OneSpring®, a visualization and definition firm, and Grady Health System, the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in the Southeast, are proud to announce the redesign of GradyHealthSystem.org. OneSpring utilized novel processes to minimize cost and maximize efficiencies. The resulting new web site significantly improves the user experience by providing innovations not found in other healthcare sites.
“OneSpring was able to very quickly acquire a deep understanding of our needs and present it to us in a way that we could instantly relate to.” said Matt Gove, Senior Vice President Marketing and Strategic Planning for Grady Health System. “Their user experience knowledge and no-nonsense approach was extremely valuable in helping us tell our story.”
OneSpring leveraged its Stream Process™ and worked with the Grady team to visualize the initial site concept and functionality in less than two weeks. Subsequent iterations enabled the team to experience exactly how their site would look and function without any development using a high fidelity visualization of the web site requirements. The process of visualization makes use of specialized tools that allow project teams to quickly prototype user interfaces and interactions without writing any programming code.
This approach resulted in a significantly reduced project timeline - defining, designing, writing and coding the web site in less than three months. The elimination of costly development rework and change management also enabled the project to be done with a significantly smaller budget than what is typical for a project of this scale. In addition, The Stream Process™ drove innovations such as “QuickFind” which intuitively combines Doctor, Specialty, Location and Web Site searches. The specialty search provides for user-friendly keywords to help patients quickly find a clinic. For example, patients can search using non-medical terms such as “Bone” instead of “Orthopedics” and “Heart” instead of “Cardiac”.
“With this project and our recent successes with Emory Healthcare, McKesson, the Veterans Administration and others, OneSpring is becoming a leader in healthcare modernization,” said Scott McDowell, Partner at OneSpring. “This enables us to bring unparalleled knowledge and perspective to our clients.”
