Since 2005, The New York fashion time, launched a survey to all users and trade people, to get a recommendation from them, to quality companies who have done great job in fashion industry. To qualify for this program each company must have a business office in USA and its own manufacturing plant. Qualifying companies must also produce proprietary designs that contribute to a significant portion of the company's operating revenue or devote a high percentage of revenue to the research and development, and what they have done must be recognized by their customers with great value to them.

The survey covers many aspects in fashion industry, including shoes, clothing, and accessories. “What we want to do is let customers speak for their suppliers and comment them and we list the best ones to give award to,” said Jason Gories, the Chief Editor of New York Fashion Time.
