Convenience Brings American Business Man to Taiwan’s Min-Sheng Hospital for Comprehensive Healthcheck

Price is not always the only driver behind medical travel. Convenience, impeccable service, and accessibility, also make Taiwan a great destination for international healthcare.

Taoyuan City, Taiwan, April 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Doug S. is a busy man. Between his sports goods business and his contracting work for the U.S navy, Doug seldom stays long in the same place. Based in Seattle ,WA, he is often on the move, travelling across the United States, or in Asia for business.

In his mid-fifties, and very active, Doug S. wanted to get a comprehensive healthcheck, and answers to a few questions that “bothered” him. Although covered by a Medical Insurance plan in The United States, he lacks a commodity that would make it easy for him to have his health checked in that country…time. “I’m always on the move” says Doug, adding “ In America, it would probably take me months to have this organized and done, and they’d probably send me all over the place”.

So on his last trip to Asia, between a visit to suppliers in Taiwan, and another to business partners in Singapore, Doug S. decided to have it all done quickly, and in one place. Having heard of Min-Sheng Hospital’s reputation for quality care, and taking advantage of the hospital’s proximity to the international airport, Doug decided to contact the JCI accredited hospital to arrange a comprehensive health check, as well as other more specific exams and procedures.

On the set date, soon after his arrival in Taiwan, Doug was welcomed at the Executive Healthcheck Center of Min-Sheng Hospital, and immediately proceeded with the examination. Beside the usual blood works, Doug had also asked to have a heart scan, an MRI for a weak knee, a light cosmetic procedure, and to see a urologist.

By the time he left the hospital a few hours later, all the tests and procedures had been performed. Most results had been given and explained by specialists, and Doug had seen five doctors including a cardiologist and an orthopedic surgeon. “Money wasn’t an issue, time was” explains Doug, “Here I got everything done under one roof, in less than a day. Moreover the staff was fantastic, and I only paid a fraction of what I would pay in America for this convenience!”.
