Hotel’s Rooms Makeover Completed in Time to Welcome President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and White House Staff.
Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, April 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Hilton Trinidad & Conference Centre recently debuted the latest phase of a multi-million dollar makeover with the unveiling of 124 newly renovated rooms just in time for the arrival of President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and White House staff.
These 124 rooms are part of a total 240 completely renovated rooms currently available at Hilton Trinidad & Conference Centre. The rooms are part of an ongoing refurbishment plan that features already completed upgrades to public areas, meeting facilities, the Carnival Bar, and the Upper Tea Terrace where President Barack Obama held his press conference on April 19, 2009.
The next phase of the renovation, scheduled for completion by the end of the year, will involve upgrades to all North Wing guest rooms, expansion of the Executive Lounge, and the final increase in the hotel’s total inventory from 380 at the time the renovation began to 421 upon completion.
All guestrooms boast enhancements with contemporary décor featuring natural teak wood furniture, all the amenities of the Hilton Serenity Collection, including the Suite Dreams™ mattress, and a modern bathroom outfitted with a glass enclosed bath with rainfall and hand-held shower. All rooms offer private balcony with stunning views of tropical gardens or the city, high speed Internet access, complimentary coffee and tea facilities, alarm clock with MP3 connection, in-room safe, and 42” high-definition LCD television in all deluxe, accessible, and executive rooms and junior suites and 52” high-definition LCD television in all presidential suites. Deluxe and executive rooms, as well as suites, enjoy additional amenities. The hotel also offers five accessible rooms designed with all the features for a comfortable stay.
The final phase of the renovation is expected to be unveiled in 2010 and will include additional dining outlets, fitness center and spa.
