“Not many of us are make up gurus, nor do many of us have all day in front of the mirror,” Di comments. “I demonstrate how to use brushes and simple application techniques. The main issue I found was that women were totally confused when it came to which brush to use for what. I recommended that women wrote the purpose of the brush on the handle, but then I thought, why don’t we just get them printed onto the handle? So that’s what we did.” The wallet that hold the brushes is black, slimline and sleek, with the seven pink handled brushes sitting neatly inside, so it can be taken on business trips, fits in a desk drawer or on the dressing table, and most of all so it is used.
“I have a bathroom cupboard full of broken promises, and the last thing I wanted was for something with my name on to be in the same cupboard. I discourage women from buying something that they won’t use, it defeats the purpose of me doing this.” The feedback Di gets from the workshops is that women love the brushes and more importantly, use them everyday, and enjoy doing so.
