Positively Inspired: South Wales’ Free-Thinkers Escape ‘Doom and Gloom’
Welsh celebrity gardener Lynne Allbutt launches programme of Uplifting Talks for Cardiff-based personal growth organization.
Cardiff, United Kingdom, April 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Fresh after her award-winning success at RHS Cardiff, ‘Really Fit Gardener’ Lynne Allbutt is in Cardiff again on Tuesday – to launch a new programme of uplifting talks taking place throughout the summer.
Lynne’s talk “Nature as Teacher” will explore how we can learn from and use the outdoors to enhance the quality of our lives and is the first of many being organised by new, local organisation Universal Growth.
"Working with Nature and natural energy" she explains "is far from being 'New Age'. I see it as a return to old fashioned values and intuition. Oh, and common sense - something that technology seems to have squeezed out of our lives."
Co-founded by Claire Raikes and Neil J Lloyd, Universal Growth aims to inspire and connect free-thinking individuals in and around Cardiff by hosting monthly evening events with the brightest stars in the personal development and mind-body-spirit sphere.
The events also offer the opportunity to make new friends with similar interests. “The current economic climate seems to be causing a shift in people’s priorities and values. Pre- and free-cycling, self-sufficiency, conscious living are all gaining in popularity and movies like What The Bleep… and The Secret have fuelled an increased interest in quantum physics and spirituality. The continued “doom and gloom” talk can get even the most positive people down. What we need now is something to smile and feel good about, so bringing ‘like-minds’ together is an important part of our vision and we’ve built plenty of networking time into the evening programme to address this.” Claire says.
“We are holding the talks in central locations during the evening so that people in South Wales can easily access high quality speakers.” explains Neil “Usually you would need to travel to London for these types of events. Claire and I wanted to create an alternative to that - with a uniquely Welsh flavour.”
Other speakers booked so far for 2009 include star of BBC’s It’s Not Easy Being Green, James Strawbridge; GMTV’s Life Coach, Pete Cohen; author and work philosopher, Nick Williams; Wales’ home-grown expert on Brandon Bays’ “The Journey” process, Debs Burgess and Tracy Smith & Bill Ayling whose cutting-edge bio resonance work is de-stressing the planet.
Universal Growth are giving away 2 free tickets (worth £20) to each of the above events with a chance to personally meet the speaker plus other goodies. For a chance to win, all you have to do is visit www.UniversalGrowth.org and sign up to the monthly VIP Ticket Giveaway.
