Wyked Illuzionz, LED Lights for Motorcycles, Annual Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month Campaign
Motorcycle LED lights make night riding safer and Wyked Illuzionz, LED Lights for Motorcycles, uses May of each year to spread that message.
Monrovia, MD, April 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness month and Maryland-based Wyked Illuzionz takes this opportunity each year to reach out to the community.
Motorcycles are smaller than other vehicles and, therefore, more difficult to see. Motorists need to be extra vigilant in looking for them and motorcyclists must do all they can to ensure they are seen. The roads are for all to use so everyone shares in the responsibility of keeping safety on top of the priority list when riding or driving.
Wyked Illuzionz sells and installs LED (light emitting diode) lights on motorcycles. They actively promote such lighting as a safety issue. Well lit motorcycles are easier to see at night so Wyked Illuzionz uses May of each year to launch a campaign to light up as many motorcycles as they can.
In June 2008 it became legal in Maryland, Wyked Illuzionz’ home state, to install certain LED lighting on motorcycles. Therefore, this year, Wyked Illuzionz is spending the entire month of May, Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, in Maryland. Their goal each May is to light up as many motorcycles as possible, therefore, during this period they work extended hours to accommodate the schedules of their customers and they provide a mobile service to those that need it.
In addition, Wyked Illuzionz will be at Cycos Motorcycle Apparel In Gambrills, MD on May 2nd, Twisted Souls Motorcycle Club Blessing of the Bikes in Harmans, MD on May 3rd; Charm City Bike Fest at the American Legion Youth Camp in Cheltenham, MD on May 9th; ABATE of Maryland (Baltimore Chapter) Spring Bike Show in Parkton, MD on May 17th; and the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department’s Motorcycle Rally in Lineboro, MD on May 23rd.
The Wyked Illuzionz motto is “Be Safe….Be Seen” and they are helping motorcyclists nationwide do just that.
Wyked Illuzionz also offers their “Do It Yourself” kits to safety conscious bikers, via their online store, at discounted rates during May and provides telephone support to them during the installation process.
Wyked Illuzionz is serious about the business of motorcycle safety.
(Note: The U.S. House of Representatives' Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure passed H. Res. 269, "Supporting the goals of a motorcycle safety month." The bill recognizes motorcycles as an important and contributing means of transportation. It encourages awareness of motorcycles and motorcycle safety among all road users, appropriate motorcycle training, and safe riding practices. It also supports the goals of a Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. This bill will be heading to the House floor for a full vote.)
