College Connection Workshop to Link Industry with Eager, Affordable Workforce

Tech Collective, Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (AICU) of Rhode Island are partnering to present a workshop and panel discussion showcasing industry benefits and how-to for Internship hosting.

Providence, RI, April 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Tech Collective will be partnering with the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce and AICU Rhode Island to present the workshop and panel discussion: The College Connection: Attracting Affordable Talent Via Internships in a Challenging Economy on May 6, 2009 from 8:00 am – Noon at the Rhode Island Convention Center, room 555-556. The cost of the event is $25.00, including a continental breakfast.

The College Connection will demonstrate how companies can utilize internships to introduce eager talent and fresh ideas into their company as well as to accelerate productivity, bandwidth and employee morale, particularly in a constrained economy. Richard Bottner, founder and president of Intern Bridge, will provide the keynote address followed by a panel discussion of educators, students and industry professionals who will give insight into their successful internship programs.
