Activelogix LLC, a leading provider of Internet-based enterprise automation solutions, announced today that it has formally established a Professional Services organization to enhance its support for systems integrators, consulting engineers, and end users in the M2M intelligent buildings marketplace.
Charlotte, NC, April 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Activelogix LLC, a leading provider of Internet-based enterprise automation solutions, announced today that it has formally established a Professional Services organization to enhance its support for systems integrators, consulting engineers, and end users in the M2M intelligent buildings marketplace.
“While we have always offered a range of training, custom engineering and technical support for our clients, we are finding an increased need for dedicated engineering and consulting services to assist them in further leveraging their automation investments” noted Greg Barnes, VP of Business Development. “Given the recent cutbacks in many organizations due to the current economy, we are able to cost-effectively supplement the skill sets for our clients on an as-needed basis and provide the focused expertise to maintain or extend energy and sustainability programs that otherwise might be curtailed for lack of resources.”
Over the past year, the company has conducted continuing education classes on a variety of topics, including new equipment, software tools, energy management best practices, and other skills. In addition, Activelogix has supplied custom applications and programming to integrate and extend the capabilities of third party applications into the client’s building controls network. As an example, a recent project for the University of North Carolina involved the integration of the campus Oracle-based Archibus® Facilities and Infrastructure Management System (CMMS/CAFM) with the Niagara-based VYKON controls network. This integration enabled automatic generation and management of work orders based on critical system alarms and nominal run-time limits. Other Activelogix projects have included audit certification of results achieved following the completion of performance contracts as well as general consulting support to assist clients in preparing open, competitive bid specifications.
Ray Dinello, Director of Facilities Information Systems for the University of North Carolina’s Charlotte campus commented, “We have been extremely pleased with our Activelogix partnership. We were looking for a “new breed” of integrator who shared our forward-thinking vision for a totally integrated enterprise system, encompassing building automation, information, and services. Activelogix has met that challenge and provided a range of capabilities to help us standardize our user interfaces, integrate and validate our metered energy information, and develop custom applications to support our energy and sustainability initiatives.”
“With the recent introduction of Periscope™, the user-centric facility dashboard from Activelogix, we are seeing a substantial growth in the need for consultative services to enable our clients to more effectively identify, prioritize, and execute the energy savings opportunities unveiled through the powerful data visualization capabilities of this application”, remarked Paul Ogle, VP of Marketing for Activelogix. “We envision that our new Professional Services organization will continue to expand its range of capabilities, including a trusted “Energy Advocate” virtual service to augment our clients’ LEED and overall sustainability objectives.”
