Sri Vidya Temple [www.srividya.org] holds its annual festival in the honor of Goddess Sri Rajarajeshwari between May 15th and 17th. Temple is located a town called Rush, 10 miles south of Rochester, New York. Every year hordes of devotees assemble to pay tribute to the Queen of all Goddesses. Every year the devotees also get the chance to listen to grand musical performances which are offered to the pleasure of Sri Rajarajeshwari.

This year, without exception, there will be concerts by Flautist Vijay Gopal on May 15th at 7:00pm, Popular Carnatic Vocalist , Anitha Krishna on May 16th at 3:30pm and the great maestro, Sangeetha Kalanidhi T K Govindarao on May 17th at 3:30pm.

Sri T K Govindarao is no stranger to anyone familiar with Carnatic music. The octogenarian is the top most scholar of Carnatic music. His students include the famous Bombay Sisters. With his caliber of singing and with all literary contribution, among which feature books with all songs of Saint Thyagaraja, Muthuswami Dikshithar, Shyama Shastry and Swathi Thirunal, the doyen has amassed all awards designated for Carnatic Musicians plus the Padma Vibhushan from the government of India.
