Exclusive Bash for The District's Lead Designer, Blu Clark

The District in Downtown Eugene hosted an exclusive bash for its lead designer, Blu Clark, on April 27, 2009 called “Everyone But That Girl Party--Because You are Identified as not that Girl.” Clark, a local visual designer and personal high-end stylist worked with a team of designers from Los, Angeles, CA to transform the venue, formerly known as Indigo District, at 13th and Oak into an ultramodern, upscale barista bar during the day and nightclub at night.

Eugene, OR, May 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The District in Downtown Eugene hosted an exclusive bash for its lead designer, Blu Clark, called “Everyone But That Girl Party--Because You are Identified as not that Girl.” Clark, a local visual designer and personal high-end stylist worked with a team of designers from Los, Angeles, CA to transform the venue, formerly known as Indigo District, at 13th and Oak into an ultramodern, upscale barista bar during the day and nightclub at night.

Deemed by many as a “creative genius,” Clark carefully selected all of the colors, fabrics, and furniture to manifest his ultramodern vision for The District. Some of his new, striking additions included a beautifully handcrafted glass bar, sleek, shimmery draping curtains, and ultramodern lighting. Clark also helped create the District's new, expanded menu to complement the new, upscale decor.As a true visual artist with more than 15 years of experience, Clark has been featured on local radio and TV stations. His impressive resume includes working for London-based Toni & Guy Salon, Barneys and Saks Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, NY. Clark possess the rare quality of being able to visualize and create the most current and age-appropriate hair cuts and color for a person’s face shape, personality and lifestyle.

Trained by some of the most elite hairdressers in the nation, Clark remains committed to continuous education so he can stay abreast of the latest techniques and styles in the fashion and beauty industry. Clark is also passionate about giving back to the community. He has volunteered extensively for Food for Lane County, HIV Alliance, Ruby Tuesdays and other local non-profits.

By Invitation only, "Everyone But That Girl Party" was held on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 7:00 pm. Hundreds of people that included a Dean and Professor from the University of Oregon School of Architecture attended the exclusive bash to celebrate Blu's artistic contribution to the Downtown area.
