Coco’s Café Brings Martini Bar Concept to Mt. Pleasant with “Tini Room”

Mount Pleasant, SC, May 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- French restaurant Coco’s Café has opened The Tini Room at its location in the Whole Foods Shopping Center in Mount Pleasant to cater to the after-work crowd or for folks looking for a casual atmosphere to enjoy light bites and drinks.

Owner Stephen Ollard converted a portion of the restaurant into the martini bar, separating it from the main dining room. The Tini Room at Coco’s Cafe is an intimate space featuring a cozy seating area with dark wooden accents and rich colors that create a European feel.

The Tini Room features a drink menu with well-liquor martinis for $5 each. Martinis include the FlirTini with vanilla vodka, triple sec, lime juice and cranberry and a splash of pineapple; the CocoTini with blackberry liquor, cranberry juice, champagne and splash of pineapple; and the ChefTini with coffee-flavored liquor, a splash a cream and espresso. They will also offer martini flights.

The “Bites” menu includes bacon-wrapped dates, house-cured salmon, escargot, lobster ravioli, shrimp tartine and more. Also available are gourmet desserts and cheese plates. All items are $3 or less.

“Mount Pleasant doesn’t really have anything like this: a casual, yet fun atmosphere where people can enjoy a drink with friends,” says Stephen Ollard, the owner and executive chef of Coco’s. “We really wanted to offer another option for an after-work happy hour or a Saturday night cocktail. In addition to being a great place for dinner, now Coco’s is a great place to go for a drink.”

The Tini Room at Coco’s Café is open 5-11 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday with happy hour drink specials from 5-7 p.m. The space is also available to be reserved for private functions for up to 50 people.
