Elizabeth Spear Named “Rising Star” by American Advertising Federation, Central Georgia

Macon, GA, May 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Elizabeth Spear, Account Executive at Third Wave Advertising, was named “Rising Star” by the American Advertising Federation of Central Georgia. Each year, the advertising club nominates and awards various Central Georgia talent in the Max Awards. The Max Awards recognizes the support team members who help to make the creative process possible.

The “Rising Star” award is given to an up and coming advertising community member who has shown his or her potential for becoming a Macon staple. The Central Georgia chapter of the American Advertising Federation opened nominations to all club members. Non-club members were eligible for nomination as well. After nominations were cast, an online voting system tallied the votes. The award ceremony, held in conjunction with the Addy Awards, was held March 7, 2009 at the So Chi Gallery in Macon, Georgia.

Bart Campione, President of Third Wave Advertising, congratulated Spear on her win, saying “Elizabeth has proven to be a highly motivated professional with a passion for the media industry.” The award is especially important to Campione who is credited with helping to create the Max Awards during his tenure as President of the American Advertising Federation of Central Georgia in 2006.

Elizabeth Spear graduated top of her class from Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia with a degree in Advertising and Marketing Communication. Spear started with Third Wave over three years ago as an intern and has advanced through the company readily since. Elizabeth is also an active community member participating in the Young Professionals’ Network in Macon, Georgia, ambassador program at the Warner Robins Area Chamber of Commerce and American Advertising Federation of Central Georgia.
