Dr. David Minkoff Welcomes Liat Golan to LifeWorks Wellness Center

Clearwater, FL, May 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Dr. David Minkoff (http://www.drminkoff.com), MD, founder and Medical Director of LifeWorks Wellness Center, is excited to welcome Liat Golan, Registered Dietician (RD) and Florida State Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) to the LifeWorks team of complementary and alternative medicine health care practitioners.
Liat Golan is a graduate of Florida International University's coordinated undergraduate program in Dietetics, with a B.S. degree in Food & Nutrition Science and holds additional certification in Weight Management from the American Dietetic Association.
Liat will counsel patients to use the power of food to manage their weight, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, digestive disorders, cancer and hypertension.
Liat has extensive experience educating patients on nutritional wellness and working with them to create an individually tailored program. The individual programs are realistic, designed from both the nutritional and lifestyle perspective, to meet the unique needs of each patient during their various life stages. For women this includes the busy working woman, working mother, pregnancy, lactation, pre-menopause and menopause.

Dr. David Minkoff (http://www.drminkoff.com) graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1974 and was elected to the “Phi Beta Kappa” of medical schools, the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Fraternity for very high academic achievement. He then worked as an attending physician in infectious disease while conducting original research on Ribaviron (a broad spectrum anti-viral agent to fight disease), co-directed a neo-natal intensive care unit and worked in emergency medicine until 1995. At that time, his wife became sick with an illness no physician could diagnose. Not accepting an uncertain prognosis, Dr. Minkoff went on a search to help her that led him out of emergency medicine into alternative medicine to find the answers. As a result of his advanced studies, his wife is now in good health and enjoying racing in triathlons.
