Not only are children under 10 complimentary at the Veranda Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet, but Kids Can Cook Too from noon-1:00pm. Children don chefs’ hats to prepare, under the guidance of a professional chef, their own signature brunch temptations for Mom. The aspiring young chefs whip up granola, nonfat yogurt & fresh berry parfaits, waffles and pancakes on junior-size cooking stations. “Sometimes the resulting dishes are a little lopsided but they taste extra delicious because they’re made with such enthusiasm,” says David Reardon, Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage. “Plus the best part for parents, no dishes! The only cleanup is of children’s hands and smiling faces.” There is also a fragrant Flower Cart, so children can present mom with a personally selected bouquet.

If breakfast is mom’s desire, she can enjoy eggs Benedict, made-to-order waffles and omelets, smoked salmon, fresh fruit and pastries. In the mood for lunch, there’s an antipasto and cheese display, a carving station, sushi, seafood specialties and an array of freshly prepared salads.
