Mystoremanager.Net to Be First-Ever Online Grocery Hub; CEO plans “Online Supermarket Community”
New planned Online Supermarket Community, MyStoreManager.net. What exactly is this Online Supermarket Community? Think of it as a Yahoo! for grocery products. It’s a single site where you can find links to coupons, recipes, nutrition information, hard-to-find world cuisine products – basically everything in a grocery store… and a whole lot more.
Corpus Christi, TX, August 01, 2006 --(PR.com)-- An ambitious South Texas start-up has launched MyStoreManager.net, a Web site designed to be a first-of-its-kind online hub for grocery goods and services.
“Our goal with MyStoreManager.net is to build an online supermarket community,” said company founder and President Dave Alexander. “Consumers can find great deals on grocery products and hard-to-find items they can’t find in brick-and-mortar stores. And businesses will use MyStoreManager.net to find new suppliers and to market their stores to a worldwide audience.”
Creating such a community may sound like an auspicious goal, but Alexander said it’s a simple matter of making MyStoreManager.net valuable to both consumers and business owners and then giving them a forum to interact.
The layout of the site will be familiar to anyone who has spent time in a grocery store, with a section for meat, dairy products, produce, floral and so on. Each section will provide links to trusted sites from around the country and world. The company will publish a weekly electronic newsletter and will even have a “Grocery Miser” section for bargain hunters that will include printable coupons they can use at stores in their neighborhood.
During the launch of the site, the company is waiving the $99 fee it typically charges to businesses to be listed in its powerful search engine. MyStoreManager.net also is offering advertising options ranging from text ads to high-exposure banner ads.
Alexander has worked in the grocery business for more than 25 years, beginning with the Smith’s chain of stores in the Western United States and more recently with the H-E-B grocery empire in Texas. Along the way, he became interested in the search capabilities of the Internet and its potential for marketing goods and services.
“With the Internet, even the smallest company can compete globally, assuming they provide quality goods and services,” Alexander said. “Our goal is to bring the best companies together in one place to create a one-stop shop for everyone’s online grocery needs.”
