Prisonworld Acapella Radio Hour Hosts 15 Minutes of Fame
Radio Show gives unknowns the opportunity to sing live on the radio to global audience.
Powder Springs, GA, May 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Prisonworld Records has “changed the game” again with their new one hour radio show co-hosted by Editor-in-Chief of Prisonworld Magazine, Jenny Triplett and Acapella group Likely Suspect. Tune into the Artist First Radio Network (www.artistfirst.com) on Sundays @ 9pm EST (8pm CST, 7pm MST, 6pm PST) for the Live show. The show is archived in mp3 format and placed on the site for your convenience.
In order to bring the spotlight to unknown singers, the radio show will host a 15 Minutes of Fame segment on every show and twice perm month devote the entire show to unknown artists. The artists will be asked to sing Acapella, without musical accompaniment, due to the show’s format. “We feel this is the best way to tell if someone has true raw talent,” says Rufus Triplett, co-host and member of Likely Suspect.
The Prisonworld Acapella Radio Hour is the fastest growing show on the Artist First Radio Network. The network attracts over 1.2 million monthly listeners globally. After the initial interview with Likely Suspect, the owners of the station were so impressed with what the group and management were doing that they offered them their own show. After two weeks of being on the air, the president of the company was startled at the numbers the show was drawing and called personally to give the listening stats. “Prisonworld brings a curiosity to people. We deal with inmates and the prison systems on a daily basis but there is so much more to what we do. We are on the grass roots level of a people movement, as Barack Obama would say. A lot of people say that they do what they do to help people. We truly mean that. If we can help just one person, then we have accomplished our goal. And since we are still around, people must really bee feeling what we are doing. It is so exciting to have listeners all around the world. We are very pleased," says Jenny Triplett, co host and Editor-in Chief of Prisonworld Magazine.
The Prisonworld Acapella Radio Hour draws listeners from over 100 countries including the UK, France, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Israel, Korea, The Netherlands, Turkey, Austria, Norway, Japan and Indonesia, just to name a few. Prisonworld has broadened its brand into a global market in just two years and are offering you the same opportunities with advertising or participation.
