Zoum Optimist 3rd in Team Trials and a Placement for Axel Sly on the World Team

Darien, CT, May 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- ZoumUSA Team leader Axel Sly of Weston, Florida and Coral Reef Yacht Club (“CRYC”) demonstrated a cool head in the face of constant pressure to implement tactical and strategic game plans and minimize mistakes to climb into the top ranks necessary to qualify for a World Team placement. The USODA National Optimist Team Trials were hosted by Noroton Yacht Club (“NYC”) this weekend in Darien CT in challenging conditions including shifty light breezes, rain, and cold water temperatures in low 50’s. The event marks the capstone of the year’s optimist circuit, with most or all participating Zoum boats earning placement on a National Team. The 2009 Zoum Racer IODA95 optimist racing dinghy- Zoum Optimist has competed in the United States very successfully winning most all of the events it participated in.

Distributed by ZoumUSA, LLC of Boca Raton, Florida, the Racer is available for delivery in limited numbers. ZoumUSA has specified hi-tech components and all upgrades allowed by the IODA rules for these top of the line dinghies.
