NPSA Launches Social Networking Community
The National Portable Storage Association has launched a social networking community for members of the portable storage industry.
Kansas City, MO, May 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The National Portable Storage Association (NPSA), a nonprofit membership association dedicated to the advancement of the portable storage industry, has launched a social networking community for members of the portable storage industry.
The NPSA has partnered with ThePort Network, one of the leading providers of social networking sites for non-profit organizations, to offer its members groups, forums, photo galleries, blogs and more. The new community officially debuts at the NPSA Resale Expo in Santa Barbara on May 4. A representative from ThePort will be at the Expo to help NPSA members register and learn how to use the community.
"We've all heard of Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and other successful social networking sites. Now the portable storage industry will have social networking location all of its own," said John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director of the NPSA. "With the addition of this community, the conversations, networking, and education that are sparked at our events now have a vehicle to be carried out throughout the year."
The community includes Groups that let members with similar interests connect. Within groups, you can have conversations, share photos, and create a group specific events calendar. Meanwhile, Forums allow members to discuss important topics, a Photo Gallery lets members upload and share images, and Blogs let members express themselves and share their wisdom.
