Vandals in Custody Due to Sonitrol Pacific Detection

Tacoma, WA, May 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Two suspected vandals of a Washington grade school were arrested May 2 after Sonitrol Pacific detected their activity and dispatched the guard service.

Sonitrol Pacific Operator Bricia Mejia received a signal activation from one of the school’s computer rooms and called the district’s guard service.

The guards arrived and quickly located two suspects. Guards detained them until police arrived to take the suspects into custody.

According to guards, the suspects broke eight windows. The fast response by Mejia, the guard service and the police department prevented further damage from being done.

Spring 2009 has been a busy season of detections leading to arrests at Sonitrol Pacific. In April alone, officers arrested 20 suspects. Since opening in 1978, more than 5,000 suspects have been arrested after a call from Sonitrol Pacific. The company designs, installs, monitors and services security systems with the specific goal of catching criminals and reducing client losses.
