Information Security Media Group Reports on, Presents at the RSA® Conference 2009
Information Security Media Group (ISMG) has long been a media sponsor and covered the RSA Conference. But this year for the first time, ISMG also participated in the event as a presenter.
Princeton, NJ, May 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Lessons Learned: The State of Banking Information Security was the title of the presentation, and it was delivered on the last day of the show by Tom Field, Editorial Director of ISMG. In this hour-long presentation, Field showcased the results of the new Banking Information Security Today survey, which offers new insight into how banking/security leaders are approaching key areas such as:
-- Response to the Recession;
-- Heartland Data Breach Aftermath;
-- Vendor Management;
-- Regulatory Compliance;
-- Mobile Banking/New Services.
"It was an honor to be included among the distinguished presenters at the RSA Conference," Field says. "This is the 'Super Bowl' of information security events, and it's validating of our presence in the field that we be given some air time at this prestigious gathering." A full report of the survey results will be issued soon by ISMG.
In addition to this presentation, Field spearheaded ISMG's coverage of the RSA Conference, producing several articles and blog entries, including:
-- Getting the Cybersecurity Organization Right
-- Emerging Threats in Data Breaches
-- Hathaway: White House Must Lead in Cybersecurity
"It was a busy event for everyone, and no one had enough hours in the day to see and do everything," Field says. "But we picked our spots and - I trust - provided some coverage that gave our audience valuable insight into some of the major discussions at the RSA Conference."
