Sarasota Volleyball Star Celebrates First Edition of the SpikeKey Beach Annual Magazine with Pre-Launch Party
Professional beach volleyball player celebrates the launch of her magazine SpikeKey Beach Annual. The party will follow the Dig the Beach tournament on Siesta Key Beach, Saturday, May 16. A number of Sarasota restaurants will be providing food and drinks. Celebrate months of work with the creators and contributors of SpikeKey.
Sarasota, FL, May 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Former Cardinal Mooney and Michigan State University volleyball star and current professional beach volleyball player, Megan Wallin, will be celebrating the pre-launch of her magazine, SpikeKey Beach Annual with a party on Siesta Key, May 16, immediately following the Dig the Beach volleyball tournament at Siesta Beach. The magazine is scheduled for publication in early June.
The party provides a chance to celebrate the culmination of months of planning and work on the publication. Many of the advertisers, writers, and supporters of SpikeKey will be in attendance. Also, several of the players who have inspired and contributed to SpikeKey are scheduled to participate in the tournament at Siesta Beach that day and are expected to attend the party.
In support of the magazine, some of the area’s finest restaurants will be providing food for the event; Café Baci, Walt’s Fish Market, Yume Sushi, Ferrari’s, Wired Wisk, Local Coffee and Tea, Daiquiri Deck and others will be offerings sample dishes at the party. Evie’s Tavern will be providing the bar service.
Party-goers will be encouraged to walk to the Daiquiri Deck for a free Corona after the SpikeKey party and then head to Evie’s Tavern downtown, where the exclusive mezzanine will be reserved and photos from the day’s tournament will be playing on the big screens.
A $5 donation is encouraged for those who attend the SpikeKey party with the proceeds going to the Sarasota YMCA’s Summer Youth Programs. Your donation will also enter your name into a raffle to win a gift basket filled with goodies from Sarasota businesses.
