New CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid Combo Book Release from ASHI

The American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) introduces an enhanced, content-rich upgrade to the CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid Combo Program.

Eugene, OR, May 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI), a member of Health & Safety Institute (HSI) family of brands, announces the launch of the new and improved student handbook for the CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid combo program.

In an ongoing effort to improve program materials, the ASHI CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid Student Handbook coordinates with the latest program updates released over the past few months. Certification for both CPR and First Aid requirements is valid for two years with this program. These new materials continue to follow the 2005 guidelines for first aid (new guidelines will not be released until 2010.)

“Recent updates to Basic First Aid (November 2008) and the CPR and AED (April 2009) programs introduced major improvements in the look and feel of our training materials”, says Bill Rowe, Director of Product Development, “We believe our Instructors and their students will benefit from the new features and the updated look and feel of the new CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid combo program.”

ASHI Students will also be able to utilize either a traditional-print or digital-book format. The digital-book version of the CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid combo will give students anytime access to the same reference materials as contained in the hard copy. Accessed through the ASHI Digital Book Download Center (ashinstitute.org/digitalbook.htm), students do not need to purchase additional electronic devices or software to access the handbook.
