Royal Oaks Building Group Garners Four MAME Awards

The awards were presented at the annual Triangle MAME Awards formal event held at the Embassy Suites in Cary, N.C on April 17. Royal Oaks garnered awards in the following categories:
Best Logo Design for a Company:
Royal Oaks is known for its oak tree skyline logo, which symbolizes the strength of the oak tree and the perseverance and reliability of the Royal Oaks team. The tagline “Homes that Move You” accompanies the logo, encouraging customers to make a move into the home of their dreams. The logo was judged on concept, overall design and execution.
Best Special Promotion:
Royal Oaks, in partnership with NBC-17, the Goodwill Community Foundation (GCF) and Shred-It, hosted an event in its Peninsula at Amberly community with the goal of reducing the risk of identity theft and collecting clothing donations. More that 540 people gathered to shred sensitive documents and donate gently used clothing to GCF, shredding an estimated 21,500 lbs. of paper and filling an entire truck with clothing donations.
Best Parade of Homes Gold Winner:
Royal Oaks garnered the best product design for its Beaufort floor plan home, which features a double gable roof with vinyl siding, shake accents and shutters. The Beaufort is aimed at families, offering four bedrooms and a spacious loft. In addition, the home brings in natural light through its many windows and features a back patio overlooking the large yard.
Sales Team of the Year:
The sales team for Royal Oaks’ Braxton Village community in Holly Springs, N.C. of Shannon Wilson-Chandler and Adrienne Mickels won the 2009 Best Sales Team of the Year for their work in 2008. The duo sold 59 homes – an average of one a week – to buyers who needed 100% financing and to those who were credit-challenged. Wilson-Chandler and Mickels use unique, personal methods to connect with clients. For families with children, the sales team writes a thank-you note addressed to the children, instead of the parents. In addition, they have weekly breakfasts with Realtors to help build positive relationships.
