WorldSound Productions Announces the Launch of It's New Website, with a Little Help from their Friends
WorldSound Productions, Inc. launched its new website last week. There are many new and interesting projects underway at WorldSound Productions, Inc. The diversity of talent brought together again and anew has created a musical catalog covering genres ranging from ambient instrumental, to rock, to Americana to children’s music. And that’s not all...
Santa Cruz, CA, August 03, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Janet Cucinotti is not a musician or an artist, but many of her closest friends are. Late last year two of those friends, Rob Papen and Laurie Z., both Independent composer/keyboardists, asked Janet if she would be interested in helping to promote their music once again.
Laurie Z. met Janet in 1991 when Janet was running a newly formed company in Maine called Waveform International, Inc. Waveform had been formed to help promote the music of friends Rob Papen and Ruud vanEs, members of the popular Dutch electronic music groups PERU and NOVA. Laurie Z. was just beginning to market her first recording, ‘Window To The World’ when a radio host mentioned Waveform’s popular ‘party paks’ of assorted electronic music being sent to radio stations. He suggested Laurie Z. contact Waveform to see about getting ‘Window To The World’ included in the party paks.
Waveform had a good run and was successful in helping to gain recognition worldwide for the artists it represented. More importantly, loving and long-lasting friendships were formed. But the run was short lived. Waveform was closed when all of Janet’s energies were forced to re-focus on her health during recovery from thyroid cancer.
Evidence of the strong bonds of friendship formed during that time is displayed in the newly formed WorldSound Productions, Inc. When Janet told her friend Steve Jolliffe about the projects with Laurie and Rob, Steve happily rejoined the ‘family’ formed so many years ago, bringing brother John Jolliffe along. Dave Manning, also known as ‘Alaska’s Piano Man,’ has recently added his music to the mix.
Thanks to CD Baby, TAXI, Airplay Direct and other helpful organizations around today, the Independent has a better chance of their music being heard. Still, it’s a difficult undertaking for the Independent to be creative and promote themselves. WorldSound Productions, Inc., by combining talents, will create a more visible presence for all.
Laurie Z., who during her career had been considered for 15 Grammy nominations, passed away in February, losing her prolonged battle with cancer. WorldSound Productions, Inc. continues to promote Laurie’s music, keeping her musical legacy alive.
There are many new and interesting projects underway at WorldSound Productions, Inc. Bringing these talents together has given everyone the opportunity to not only concentrate on their individual projects, but to work together co-operatively on other projects. The diversity of talent brought together again and anew has created a musical catalog covering genres ranging from ambient instrumental, to rock, to Americana to children’s music. And that’s not all.
WorldSound Productions, Inc. launched its new website last week. Not only does the website devote pages to each musician, the site has art galleries covering all forms of medium from pencil to paint where the artwork of Mekenzie Kay Schneider, Tom Patterson, Paul Gillard, and Steve Jolliffe are all represented. Whatever your project needs, WorldSound Productions, Inc, has the talent, ‘all in the family,’ to do it. http://www.worldsoundproductions.com .
