Postcode Anywhere Shortlisted for Business of the Year Award
Worcester, United Kingdom, May 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Worcester-based business efficiency company Postcode Anywhere has been shortlisted for the regional heat of this year’s National Business Awards.
The company, which builds software services around data and sells them to businesses over the web, is one of just ten finalists in the “small to medium sized business of the year” category.
The winners of the hotly-contested awards will be announced at a glittering gala award dinner at Birmingham’s Hilton Metropole hotel on 16 July, after a rigorous round of presentations before an independent, expert judging panel from 1 – 12 June.
Marketing manager Rob Willis-Griffin said: “Being shortlisted for this award is superb. We’ve already won awards for our market-leading technology and services, and perhaps now it’s time to throw the spotlight on the company and team behind them.
“Postcode Anywhere processes over a million electronic transactions and saves businesses thousands of pounds every day, with services including address management and route optimisation, which cuts fuel costs for couriers, hauliers and logistics-based firms by up to 30%.”
Philip Forrest, Chairman of Judges for The National Business Awards said: “The entry level for this year’s programme of The National Business Awards Regional Programme is very encouraging. Entrants have shown both the resilience and optimism that are the hallmarks of UK enterprise. Without exception all had forecast a level of growth for the coming year which appears to indicate that even in the prevailing market conditions, well run, professionally operated organisations are able to develop and implement effective success strategies.”
Paul Tollet, Vice President of Business, Orange UK said: “We wish the best of luck to all finalists of The National Business Awards Wales, Midlands & East Anglia regional programme. Nobody can doubt that this is an extremely difficult period for commerce; however, The National Business Awards provides the opportunity to revive some confidence in UK business through the recognition of our most talented organisations and individuals. This year's finalists clearly demonstrate the resilience, adaptability and success needed to drive the economy forward."
Postcode Anywhere won the regional award for ‘best use of technology in business’ last year, and won the national award in the same category in 2006.
