Acclaimed Ceramics Artist Opens Her Italian Villas to Visitors
Pittsboro, NC, May 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Internationally acclaimed Italian-born artist Siglinda Scarpa is welcoming visitors for the first time to experience the source of her inspiration: ‘la dolce vita,’ meaning ‘the sweet life’, at her villa in Tuscany and her apartment in Rome.
“Italy is a culturally rich and incredibly beautiful country,” says Scarpa. “Its people and countryside have always been a source of inspiration for my art and it is my hope that everyone has a chance to experience Italy for themselves.”
Scarpa’s home in San Lorenzo a Merse in the hills of Tuscany is only 15 km from Siena and a short distance to Florence. A perfect escape from the tourist crowds, the hilltop town of San Lorenzo a Merse is full of pre-Renaissance architecture, winding streets and authentic Italian charm.
Scarpa’s apartment in Rome is an easy walk to the Vatican and close to public transportation, making it the perfect place to stay and enjoy all the famous sites of this fantastic city. From Rome, visitors can enjoy day trips to the stunning Amalfi coast, the ancient city of Pompeii and the infamous island of Capri.
Both Scarpa’s Tuscan villa and Roman apartment combine modern conveniences with antique treasures and artistic elegance.
