International Conference on Nutrient Removal from Wastewater Streams May 10-13, 2009 Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

International Nutrient Removal Conference - A historic Vancouver hosted event that will bring together the world’s leading experts in the science of nutrient recycling.

Vancouver, BC, Canada, May 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- As part of a step towards a sustainable future, this conference is anticipated to increase awareness surrounding nutrient removal, recovery and reuse. The Global Phosphate Forum in conjunction with over 100 speakers and presenters from 30 different countries will address topics such as phosphorus recovery, emerging nutrient recovery technologies and agricultural nutrient recycling.

Phosphate recycling is crucial for the sustainable future of our society as it is a non-renewable element which is essential for all living things. Phosphorus compounds can be found in everything from toothpastes to detergents; though its most popular commercial use is in fertilizers. Consequently, the detergent phosphate industry is committed to recycling phosphates, the only recyclable detergent ingredient, and turning this objective into an industrial reality.

Objective:
To create a global forum to highlight knowledge, concerns and challenges concerning nutrient removal from liquid waste streams (municipal sewage, food industry, commercial waste), and help in the environmental advance of this globally-emerging new paradigm.

Details:
Welcome and opening keynote speech on “Elimination of Eutrophication” on May 11, 2009 and closing May 14, 2009 with a poster session and opportunity to discuss research and development with world leading experts.
