Training Firm in Rapid Expansion
Coventry, United Kingdom, May 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- A major training company is moving up in the world just six months after taking a new headquarters in Coventry.
Acua Limited, which provides a range of work-based management skills training to large companies and organisations across the country, moved its HQ to a new base at the Coventry Innovation Village last September, however they now have had to more than double in size.
The company, which is a training subsidiary of Coventry University, has taken over the 4,000 sq ft building on Cheetah Road.
Acua has grown from just 15 employees to around 35 and plans to have 150 staff by the end of 2009.
Larraine Boorman, managing director of Acua, said: “We have undergone a planned but rapid expansion in all areas of our business.
“One of our unique selling points is that we have our Learning & Development Consultants embedded within the client organisations at their offices and places of work."
Acua was born out of the university’s pioneering Employer Engagement Project and its work was cited by the CBI as a beacon of good practice. Acua now works with a growing list of clients including The AA, the NHS, Severn Trent and Caterpillar.
Its talent development programmes, which are accredited through Coventry University, start at certificate level but can build through to a foundation degree and full degree.
Boorman added: “There is a great emphasis on skills at present and an acceptance from businesses and organisations that building the abilities of their staff is key to remaining competitive.
“We are fast building a national reputation and attracting new business on a regular and encouraging basis which demonstrates the positive impact our programmes have on organisations and their talent.”
