Philadelphia, PA, May 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Tymor Technology Inc. A Delaware valley IT consulting firm is announcing the Tymor “Green Technology Project”. The primary goal of the innovative project is to bring the direct and collateral benefits of the current developments in enterprise Information Technology in the field of ecological stewardship and IT cost management to the Small-Mid sized Business sector in the Delaware Valley. Tymor Technology Inc. is an MSP or Managed Services Provider. The is a new breed of IT consultant that uses advanced, remote management, monitoring and diagnostics to reduce cost and improve productivity in the IT field. “The old Break-fix, reactive paradigm of the 20th century is wearing thin and no longer addresses the needs of 21st century business.” Observed Fred Zajac Head of Sales for the local company.

Tymor Technologies uses technology developed at the enterprise level to reduce cost, and streamline IT management bringing a competitive edge to SMB’s. Some of those advanced tools include: enterprise level service ticket management, comprehensive network management system, remote backup and disaster recovery systems, virtualization and the recently developed User State Management module Through this functionality, the user is able to remotely power off computers and promote energy efficiency during non-productive hours, then power on to conduct routine off hour IT tasks. These tools automate much of the daily work needed to keep up with the demands of a complex IT environment such as; automated desktop migration solution, the definition and deployment of group profiles and remotely managing client desktops insuring high level proactive service management. Further, these tools give Tymor Technologies the ability to, including setting power options so that machines power down when not in use. Additionally, Recently developed, integrating the power management policy with the rest of the systems management framework gives them the ability to efficiently monitor, maintain, backup, secure and now regulate power of any computer regardless of its physical location or whether it is in use, in sleep mode or turned off. By automating IT processes, implementing best practices and providing consistent customer service levels, even while going green, Tymor hopes to bring significant savings to the SMB sector. The 2009 PC Energy Report produced estimates U.S businesses waste $2.8 Billion a year by leaving the PC's on over night, emitting about 20 Million Tons of Carbon Dioxide - Roughly the equivalent of 4 million cars. The report also stats that most businesses believe that their IT departments or outsourcing companies need their machines to be left on overnight in order to deploy security patches and software updates. Others believe an on-board "sleep" or hibernation mode kicks in. Tymor hopes that their new initiative, the Green Technology Project can turn that around.

“This powerful and complete systems management framework will allow us to provide proactive managed services at an affordable price point while continuing to keep an eye on power consumption and the environment.” Commented Craig Weiss, President and founder of Tymor.”Commenting further Mr. Weiss states “Its all fine and well to be made of aware of the importance of “Green” issues but without the tools to act most businesses find themselves left out in the cold”. This is a very timely and mission-critical effort. A survey, conducted by Paycycle Inc, reveled that while over 88% of SMB’s feel that “Green” is as vital to their business as the economy itself, only 34% are currently taking steps to address the issue. Tymor hopes to change that by giving SMB’s the tools that the enterprise players have leveraged to move in that direction. They are planning on conducting Green Technology Audits to uncover areas where businesses can cut energy consumption and streamline operations, Provide quantified ROI and a Green Technology Consulting service to assist clients with long-range environmentally oriented goals.
