NAMPAC Releases ECO-PAIL Sustainability Podcast
Raleigh, NC, May 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- NAMPAC (www.bwaycorp.com/nampac), a division of BWAY Corp., has released a podcast featuring president and chief operating officer Tom Linton. In the podcast, Linton discusses how the ECO-PAIL focuses on reducing its environmental and societal impacts through every stage of its life cycle. He explains the ECO-PAIL’s five key deliverables, which result in significant reductions in the ECO-PAIL’s carbon footprint and non-renewable energy use (NREU). The five key deliverables discussed are: conserving the amount of plastic used, using recycled plastic, reducing supply chain energy and packaging required, reducing complexity and variant resins and preserving value for the next life of the material.
The ECO-PAIL, introduced by NAMPAC, is an environmentally friendly plastic pail that supports sustainability efforts by utilizing new technology. The ECO-PAIL is composed of three eco-components, the Eco-Handle, the Tri-Seal molded in triple seal cover and the STRATUM pail body. All parts of the ECO-PAIL are made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which is recyclable, and the ECO-PAIL uses 8 percent less plastic than conventional pails. This podcast is available for download at http://www.mmimarketing.com/blog/eco-pail-sustainability-podcast.
“The Eco-Pail is part of NAMPAC’s sustainability initiative,” said Linton. “We enjoy giving our customers the opportunity to choose environmentally-friendly products that do not sacrifice strength or value.”
