Lavendon Access Services Wins ‘Excellence in Training’ Award
Lutterworth, United Kingdom, May 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Lavendon Access Services has scooped the ‘Excellence in Training’ Award at the prestigious Hire Association of Europe’s (HAE) Hire Awards of Excellence. Coming in above a number of its industry peers, Lavendon Access Services, the UK’s leading supplier of powered access, picked up the accolade at the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at The Landmark London on 9 May 2009.
Graham Arundell, managing director of HAE and EHA, said: “I am delighted that Lavendon Access Services won the Excellence in Training Award. The company has demonstrated an outstanding example of training within its business, and the award really is testament to all those working at Lavendon and the obvious commitment that they share.”
One of the areas that the judging panel saw as key to winning the award is the successful training division of Lavendon Access Services – Lavendon Access Services Academy. Based at the group headquarters in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, the Academy is responsible for welcoming new employees to the company, along with the ongoing development of over 900 staff through a carefully designed suite of courses and projects. The Academy’s key objective is to build upon the knowledge and skills found across the Lavendon family, further enhancing the reputation as the industry’s employer of choice.
In accepting the award, Lavendon Access Services’ UK Training Manager Louise Powell commented: “The foundations of any successful company are its people, and I hope this award will go some way to show the time and effort that Lavendon Access Services has invested in its training at every level throughout the company.”
Lavendon Access Services also works with all its major suppliers such as Genie Industries and JLG. They provide product support, including training, equipment development and machine familiarity.
