Concepts NREC Wins Best Technical Paper Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the International Gas Turbine Institute
Award will be presented at ASME Turbo Expo 2009.
White River Junction, VT, May 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Concepts NREC, a world leader in turbomachinery design, research, engineering and manufacturing, today announces that the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the International Gas Turbine Institute (IGTI) have honored Dr. Xuwen Qiu, Associate Director; Dr. David Japikse, Chairman of the Board/CEO; and Mark Anderson, Vice President Software, with the 2008 ASME Turbo Expo 2008 Best Technical Paper Award. The award will be presented during the ASME Turbo Expo 2009 at the World Marriott Resort located at 8701 World Center Drive in Orlando, Florida on Monday, June 8.
The paper, GT-2008-51349 "A Meanline Model for Impeller Flow Recirculation," was selected by the ASME Turbomachinery Committee as the ASME Turbo Expo 2008 Best Technical Paper award winner. Dr. Qiu was the primary author with contributions by Japikse and Anderson.
