SoftwareONE Welcomed to Microsoft’s Software Asset Management Program
New Berlin, WI, May 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- SoftwareONE is pleased to announce that the company has successfully gained Microsoft’s Software Asset Management Authorization (SAM) and has been formally welcomed as an addition to the Microsoft’s US SAM program.
SoftwareONE, who has been delivering comprehensive SAM services in the European market for years, recently employed Zak Virdi to lead and grow the company‘s global SAM practice. Virdi, a seasoned channel professional based out of the SoftwareONE UK office, is well-known for his experience and success with building and executing SAM services. Virdi is a co-founder and director of IiS (Investors in Software) and has been instrumental in the development of the ISO 19770-1, ISO SAE (ISO Self Assessment Engine) and assisting organizations along the path to becoming certified through the iiS Rapid Adopter Program (RAP).
Oliver Berchtold has been named the US subsidiary SAM practice manager and is responsible for building the SAM practice within the United States. Berchtold has been working directly with Jim McCormack of the Microsoft SAM team to ensure that the SoftwareONE SAM offering is properly mapped to Microsoft program requirements. In April, Microsoft confirmed that SoftwareONE had effectively been enabled to support all three defined customer engagement programs within the US.
