California Fashion Designer Featured in Buying Guide for American-Made Children’s Products
California-based children’s fashion designer and huge supporter of American manufacturers and cotton mills, Toni Tierney, is proud to be mentioned in ‘buy America’ guide, Made Here, Baby.
San Francisco, CA, May 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Children’s fashion designer and California native, Toni Tierney, has been supporting the American economy since she started her namesake company Toni Tierney Children’s Clothing in 1994.
Each of her whimsical designs is sewn by an American mother who’s earning an income while being at home with her children, something Tierney feels any mother who wishes to should be able to do. Tierney is also a large supporter of American cotton mills with every piece she designs being made from 100% cotton.
In a book released earlier this year by Bruce Wolk, Made Here, Baby!, the very American Toni Tierney was mentioned as one of the manufacturers US consumers can trust when shopping for goods for their children. Tierney will also be a featured American manufacturer on madeherebaby.com this week.
“I was so happy to learn I’d been mentioned in this wonderful guide, and even more pleased when I heard I would be a featured manufacturer on madeherebaby.com,” states Tierney. She adds, “I’m grateful that Bruce has written this book so parents have an easy way to source items for their children that were created on American soil, and I’m delighted to be part of it.”
Author of Made Here, Baby!, Bruce Wolk, is a strong advocate of woman-owned American manufacturing companies. For his book he heavily researched and interviewed more than 400 US manufacturers of children’s items including clothing and accessories, furniture, toys and games.
Wolk has stressed throughout his website and other marketing avenues for the book that none of the manufacturers in Made Here, Baby! paid to be mentioned in the book. Each of the companies featured was researched heavily in order to provide consumers with a real choice and companies that approached Wolk offering to pay for a mention were declined.
