Girl Mogul Magazine: Girl Power for the Modern World

Atlanta, GA, May 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Lisa La Rochelle, founder and chief creative officer of Arden Custom Publishing Group, and Andrea Stein, president and founder of Girl Mogul, have partnered through GirlMogul Magazine (GMM). The bi-monthly publication for 7-13 year old leaders, entrepreneurs and community activists is being touted as an industry eye-opener because of its unique approach to editorial content for the modern girl. The launch of GMM is scheduled for September 2009 and will be celebrated with an exclusive Atlanta-based launch party geared specifically for tweens who are taking a stance and making a difference in their communities.

Melanie Lawlor Cooper, managing editor, says, “Girl Mogul Magazine is about who you are, what you stand for and what you can do with your life. It isn’t about what you wear or look like, but what’s inside that makes you shine.” She explains, “We’re writing articles on girls who have started neighborhood recycling campaigns to save the environment, girls who are saving their hard-earned dollars to donate to a charity that moves them into action, and girls who lead by example. We are seeking girls who are interested in what the world has to offer and who aren’t afraid of knowledge. It’s girl power for the modern world!”

Although topics in GMM will be primarily scientific, geographic and math-based, the publication will carry a lighter editorial tone, bright design colors and will utilize junior writers to appeal to GMM’s targeted audience. The publication will be subscription-based and will reach over 125,000 girls, with plans to hit newsstands in 2010.
