International Business Brokers Association Celebrates 25th Anniversary in Atlanta June 8-13

Atlanta, GA, May 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The IBBA–M&A Source Spring 2009 Joint Conference for Professional Development will take place June 8-13, 2009, at the Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta, GA. More than 700 business brokers are expected to attend courses, workshops and networking events that commemorate IBBA’s 25 years of service to the industry.

On Wednesday, June 10, Gene Stanaland, MBA, PhD, of GSE, Inc. will present the M&A Source Keynote session at the conference. “The Current Economy: Where Are We Going?” will analyze the political activity coming out of Washington, D.C. and the Federal Reserve Board actions in light of the Greenspan Board approach to Monetary Policy. Stanaland will forecast the remainder of 2009 to help intermediaries set expectations for clients and their own practices.

Henry Givray, Chairman and CEO, SmithBucklin Corporation, will present “The Passion of Leadership” on Friday, June 12. On Saturday, Tom West and Jeff Jones, CBI, BCB, ASA, CBA, two of IBBA’s founding members, will lead a panel discussion featuring their personal accounts of how IBBA began more than two decades ago.

“We expect some of the longest-standing members to interact with the newest brokers in the business and show them the ropes a bit,” said Andrew Cagnetta, CBI, IBBA Chairman. “This is a unique event that provides a one-stop-shop for networking and learning from those who have been through it all.”
