Solar Innovations, Inc. Announces the Completion of Their Latest Decorative Institutional Greenhouse
Myerstown, PA, May 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Solar Innovations, Inc., a custom manufacturer of residential and commercial greenhouses; conservatories; sunrooms; folding, tilting, and sliding glass doors, walls, windows, and screens; announces the completion of their latest decorative institutional greenhouse.
Solar Innovations® is proud to announce the completion of an institutional greenhouse for the science center at Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Completed in May 2009, this straight eave, double pitch greenhouse includes one gable end, partial sidewall cut-outs, and interior partition walls. This stately project was fully manufactured by Solar Innovations, Inc. and designed in conjunction with Wilson College’s builders, architects, and university representatives.
The structure is constructed with Solar’s seven inch aluminum system in Dark Bronze Anodized frame finish and Low-E 272 insulated glass units with a stainless steel air spacer for increased U-Value. Solar Innovations’® aluminum system is thermally-broken, and when accompanied with high performance glass this system creates an exceptionally thermally efficient greenhouse that promotes healthy plant growth.
Passive ventilation to the institutional greenhouse is provided by four 4-bay operable ridge vents and four 4-bay operable eave vents; these ventilation units also aid in overall air circulation, allowing for more efficient temperature control inside the structure.
This new decorative greenhouse at Wilson College is fully equipped with greenhouse accessories, including heaters, evaporative coolers, circulation fans, drip and mist watering systems, mesh top benches, humidifiers, plant hanger rods, grow lights, and a fully-functioning environmental control system.
Not only is this greenhouse functional, but it is also decorative, allowing the greenhouse to fit into its attractive stone surrounding on the campus. Uncommon for an institutional greenhouse, the structure is adorned with seven true divided radius arches, decorative gutters, and crown molding.
Beyond the greenhouse accessories Wilson College chose to include, Solar Innovations® can offer an extensive line of greenhouse storage: shades, foggers, hangers, and shelves.
Solar Innovations® is uniquely qualified and able to produce fully functional, thermally enhanced greenhouses to incorporate into any surrounding.
