Lavendon Access Services Continues with Technical Excellence
Lutterworth, United Kingdom, May 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Lavendon Access Services, the UK’s leading supplier of Powered Access, has announced a further seven depots that have now achieved full accreditation to the TechX (Technical Excellence) programme. With the total number of TechX accredited branches now standing at ten, Lavendon Access Services is almost a quarter of the way through getting all locations successfully passed.
Following on from the first intake in 2008, Nationwide Platforms Liverpool, Leicester, Cardiff & Swansea, Panther Basingstoke & Cannock and Skylift Manchester have now all made the TechX grade.
The TechX Project Team is continuing to assist and oversee depots in the key areas of engineering and equipment maintenance, environmental management, procurement, housekeeping and health & safety. The implementation of the ‘5S’ programme is still central to the success of TechX. The feedback from depots is positive regarding the series of steps required to optimise individual and team performance.
Lavendon Access Services’ UK Operations Director Mick Ledden commented: “Almost a quarter of UK depots have now achieved and are maintaining TechX status, which is a fantastic effort from everyone involved. The marked benefits of TechX, such as improved productivity, service and Health & Safety, are clear to see across the depot network, as word spreads of the high standards required to succeed.”
With such a positive impact, the project now looks to be spreading its wings on an international level as Ledden continued:
“Following its successful launch in the UK, TechX is now being rolled out across all overseas territories throughout Lavendon Group, a point that stands testament to all those involved in the project so far.”
The TechX Project Team is now in the process of selecting depots who have applied to be part of the next intake.
