New Fantasy Book, Behind Every Illusion, Causing Stir This Summer
Behind Every Illusion, by Christina Harner, is her debut novel about a girl who discovers she may be part of a new species, created to save the earth from the destruction wrought upon it by mankind. The story of Tatiana takes place in 21st century America, where she, along with some of her friends and family, learns what it is like to change and become something new while trying to live a normal life.

Behind Every Illusion is the first book in an exciting series about the extraordinary ways the earth has evolved in a desperate attempt to save itself from the destruction caused by humankind. This first novel focuses mainly on a soft-spoken 18-year-old named Tatiana, who begins changing in ways she never thought possible. Amidst tragedy, unimaginable transformations and an unexpected friendship, she has to learn to reveal the girl hidden behind her illusions and what it means to face the world in order to preserve not only the forest but her very existence.
So many books deal with the future – when humans have finally destroyed the earth and made way for robots or small colonies of better developed humans or something else equally elusive. But what fantasy book deals with today’s world and what might happen if the earth itself decided to fight back?
