Elizabeth Bublitz, Author and Creator of Pawfriendly Landscapes, Contributed Her Expertise About Edging in the Denver Post on May 22, 2009

Denver, CO, May 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Elizabeth Bublitz, author and creator of Pawfriendly Landscapes, contributed her expertise about edging in The Denver Post on May 22, 2009. Susan Clotfelter wrote the article, "Paths Transform from Wander to Wonder," about different types of edging and how they enhance a yard. Bublitz discussed safe edging that will not hurt paws or feet as well as how "do it yourselfers" can install it.

Bublitz says, "Edging is always needed since we use it for transitions. For example if you have sod but you want to create a walkway or new garden along it, you must use edging so the sod won't migrate into the new garden and the garden's mulch will not migrate into the sod." She continues by saying, "However, many people use steel edging and their dogs end up with serious lacerations to their paws. Some dogs always limp due to it. The best part is it is 100% avoidable with a roll top edging, brick or strip stone; homeowners have many choices."

Bublitz is a pioneer in landscape design since she creates beautiful and functional landscape designs based on dogs' habits - the good and not so good ones. She contributes articles to "Bark - Dog is My Co-pilot" and "The American Dog" magazine as well as blogs for PeTA Prime, Colorado Gardening, Denver Botanic Gardens about keeping pets safe it their backyard. She released her first book, "Pawfriendly Landscapes - How to Share the Turf When the Backyard Belongs to Barney," and is working on her second book which is due out in the summer of 2009.
