The expanding Onyx Six - Women of Color Business Network has completed the launch its second local chapter in Los Angeles, California.
Houston, TX, May 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Onyx Six - Women of Color Business Network is establishing strong roots in Houston, TX and now has harnessed that energy to start a new local chapter in Los Angeles. The overwhelming response from the Houston business community has created a momentum that can't be ignored. The network's unique approach to business relationships has proven to be fruitful for all involved. "We're excited to see so many women and men grasp onto our mission for interdependent business relationships", says co-owner and founder Lyndsey Shaffer. "We've been able to grow and develop at a rate we never expected because of the support and interdependent relationships we've been able to create here in Houston".
As a result, relationships Onyx Six has established in its first local chapter have allowed them to connect with others who share their mission in other parts of the United States. Co-founder Zerik Scales says, "Onyx Six has not only grown exponentially in Houston Texas, but is starting to break ground in other large metropolitan cities".
Onyx Six held its' first informational session on May 5, 2009 in Los Angeles. The founders were joined by the network's newest regional director Crystal Blanchette as they shared their vision for Onyx Six in LA. "The Los Angeles region has great potential for Onyx Six to become an incubator for thriving minority women businesses and our newest regional director is well qualified to cultivate this process" says Scales.
The Onyx Six network is committed to providing minority women entrepreneurs with the resources they need to succeed. These resources include a guidance system to networking for interdependence and building long lasting business relationships that will keep them moving forward in the future.
